S31603/316L stainless steel is the second most commonly used austenitic stainless steel after 304 stainless steel. Due to the addition of Mo, SS 316 has greatly improved corrosion resistance and certain properties compared with SS 304. 316 reduces the chromium content, increases the nickel content, and adds 2-3% Mo. The addition of Mo can enhance the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion caused by chloride. Therefore, 316 stainless steel is widely used in marine applications or marine environment occasions. .
Grade 316, 316L materials can be custom formed into coils, plates or sheets, strips, wires, tubes or tubes, profiles, rods, angles and other shapes according to special requirements.
