PPGI/PPGL is pre-painted galvanized steel, also known as pre-coated steel, color coated steel etc.

 Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Coil as the substrate, PPGI is made by first going through surface pretreatment, then the coating of one or more layers of liquid coating by roll coating, and finally baking and cooling. The coatings used including polyester, silicon modified polyester, high-durability, corrosion-resistance and formability.

1. Types of coating:

• 2/1: Top layer gets two coats and two bakes, while the bottom layer gets one coat and one bake. This is good for adhesion but not as strong in other areas. Used mainly for sandwich panels.
• 2/1M: Both top and bottom layers get two coats and two bakes. This is good for scratch resistance, corrosion resistance, and shaping, and works well for both single and sandwich panels.
• 2/2: Both top and bottom layers get two coats and two bakes. This type is strong in scratch resistance, corrosion resistance, and processing, making it ideal for roll forming. However, due to lower adhesion, it's not suitable for sandwich panels.

2. What each coating is good for:

• 2/1: Good adhesion but weaker in corrosion and scratch resistance. Used for sandwich panels.
• 2/1M: Good balance of scratch resistance, corrosion resistance, shaping, and adhesion. Works well for both single and sandwich panels.
• 2/2: Strong in scratch resistance, corrosion resistance, and processing, but with lower adhesion, making it unsuitable for sandwich panels and better suited for roll forming.

3. Galvalume steel coil
55% aluminum-zinc steel sheet combines the best of both worlds: excellent corrosion resistance (lasting up to 25 years), good heat resistance (up to 315°C), and strong adhesion for easy processing (punching, cutting, welding). Its unique, silver-white starry surface with good conductivity makes it ideal for various applications.
